Job summary

Lead Careers Ltd in Birmingham is seeking a Chartered Landscape Planner to join its growing team. The role involves preparing LVIA/LVA reports, site visits, planning documentation, and contributing to EIAs, with ownership of projects and close collaboration with experienced colleagues.

You will liaise with clients and authorities, manage your workload, and support junior colleagues while developing technical expertise within an established consultancy.

Qualifications

  • Chartered Landscape Architect (CMLI) with experience in landscape planning.
  • Strong experience preparing LVIA and LVA reports.
  • Good understanding of landscape character assessment and UK planning system.
  • Experience working on a range of development projects.
  • Confident report writing and communication skills.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Proactive and able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare LVIA and LVA reports for planning purposes.
  • Undertake site visits, landscape assessments and visual surveys.
  • Prepare landscape planning reports and supporting documentation for planning applications.
  • Contribute to Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA).
  • Produce landscape strategies and mitigation recommendations.
  • Liaise with clients, local authorities and other consultants.
  • Manage own workload and contribute to project delivery.
  • Support junior colleagues and assist with their development.

Role - Chartered Landscape Planner

Location - Birmingham

Salary - £DOE

We are working with an established landscape consultancy in Birmingham that is looking for a Chartered Landscape Planner to join its growing team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys the landscape planning side of the profession and wants to work on a varied range of projects, with plenty of opportunity to develop their career.

The practice works across a mixture of residential, commercial, renewable energy and infrastructure developments, offering a friendly and supportive working environment where you'll have the opportunity to take ownership of projects and work closely with experienced colleagues.

THE ROLE
  • Prepare Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIA) and Landscape and Visual Appraisals (LVA)
  • Undertake site visits, landscape assessments and visual surveys
  • Prepare landscape planning reports and supporting documentation for planning applications
  • Contribute to Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA)
  • Produce landscape strategies and mitigation recommendations
  • Liaise with clients, local authorities and other consultants
  • Manage your own workload and contribute to the successful delivery of projects
