Job summary

Environment Agency in Yorkshire is seeking a Chartered Civil/Structural Engineer to provide specialist advice and guidance on asset management for flood risk infrastructure across the region.

You will lead technical teams on reservoirs, embankments and walls, while mentoring junior engineers and ensuring safe, compliant operations. A hybrid working pattern applies with site visits across Yorkshire and a valid driving licence required.

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification and professional registration (Chartered Civil/Structural Engineer).
• Excellent communication and customer-focused service.
• Knowledge and experience in Health, Safety & Environment.
• Demonstrated technical leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist advice and guidance on asset management in Yorkshire.
• Lead engineering teams on critical assets and reservoirs and advise on refurbishment decisions.
• Assure asset investment programme and influence technical decisions.
• Mentor less experienced engineers to support development.
• Respond to incidents and assist with business continuity as required.
