Job summary
Advance Training & Recruitment Services is seeking a Senior Engineer / Consultant with civil engineering and flood risk expertise to deliver a diverse UK portfolio across government agencies, water companies, local authorities and private sector clients.
You will work with delivery partners and technical specialists from early appraisal through to detailed design and delivery, supporting governance, risk and continuous improvement; hybrid working in Leeds, London or Manchester.
Qualifications
- Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- Experience in civil engineering and/or flood risk management.
- Chartered Engineer status or working towards chartership.
- Membership of ICE or CIWEM or progression toward.
- Experience in multidisciplinary project environments.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management.
Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of civil engineering and flood risk projects.
- Contribute to technical approvals and respond to queries.
- Develop and support high-quality engineering solutions.
- Assist with project controls, risk registers, and governance reporting.
- Coordinate with delivery partners and stakeholders.
- Support technical reviews and construction-stage activities.
- Identify and elevate project issues appropriately.
- Contribute to lessons learned and continuous improvement.
- Support and guide junior colleagues.
- Manage own technical outputs and contribute to delivery.
