Job summary

South West Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Customer Service Consultant for a charity fundraising campaign in Ringwood, Hampshire, with hybrid working once trained. The role is temporary-to-permanent, paying £12.80 per hour initially and £26,624 per annum permanently, plus an on-target bonus.

Training is provided, and hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm. The successful candidate will handle inbound calls and emails, support fundraising events, and guide supporters through the fundraising

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service, contact centre, retail or hospitality environments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong spelling, grammar and attention to detail.
• Friendly, professional telephone manner.
• Patient, empathetic and understanding approach.
• Confidence handling sensitive conversations.
• Good listening and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to navigate multiple computer systems while on calls.
• Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound calls from supporters.
• Respond to customer enquiries by email.
• Assist with orders for fundraising materials and information packs.
• Provide guidance on paying in money raised through fundraising activities.
• Assist with online fundraising page enquiries.
• Make outbound calls to follow up queries or provide support.
• Record information accurately in internal systems.
• Adapt communication style to individuals and enquiries.
• Maintain professionalism in a busy contact centre environment.
