Job summary

Helen & Douglas House in Wallingford is seeking an Assistant Shop Manager for a permanent part-time position, 22.5 hours per week. The role is based in our Wallingford shop, with weekend rota pattern and training provided.

You will work with volunteers to maximise shop sales and deliver great customer service, supported by the Shop Manager and Area Manager to help you develop skills and meet targets.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of charity retail would help you hit the ground running.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside a team of volunteers to maximise the shop’s sales profits.
• Provide excellent customer service to shoppers.
• Full training will be provided and you will be supported to develop specific skills.
• Manage volunteer teams in a variety of situations with support from the Shop Manager and Area Manager.
• Be available to work weekends on a rota basis and adapt to changing patterns.
