Job summary

British Heart Foundation in Worthing is seeking a Sales Assistant for a part-time, 6-hour-a-week role in a busy clothing store. Flexibility to work weekends and bank holidays is required, with regular Sunday work. You’ll be at the heart of retail operations, delivering outstanding customer service and supporting a dynamic team.

The role involves till work, donations sorting, merchandising, and collaboration with the E‑Commerce team to boost online sales. Min age 18+.

Qualifications

• No previous retail experience is required; passion, energy and first-class customer service are valued.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced shop floor environment and guiding volunteers.
• Able to handle pressure and to work on a rota including weekends and bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers and promote the charity’s mission with clear service.
• Organise and merchandise donated stock to maximise sales potential.
• Collaborate with our E-Commerce team to maximise online sales.
• As a Keyholder, keep the store running when a manager is not on duty.
