Job summary

British Heart Foundation in Carmarthen is seeking a Sales Assistant for a part-time role of 10.5 hours per week in our busy furniture store. The store operates seven days a week, with weekend and bank holiday shifts on a rota.

You’ll deliver first-class customer service, assist with merchandising, and support the Online team to maximise sales. The role is dynamic, physical, and involves lifting donated furniture.

Qualifications

• Retail experience not essential; passion and energy valued.
• Strong customer service orientation and teamwork.
• Able to work under pressure and take initiative.
• Attention to detail and reliability.
• Comfortable using a till, PC, smartphone and email.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers, providing exceptional service and promoting our charity’s mission.
• Organise and merchandise donated stock creatively to maximise sales potential.
• Collaborate with our E-Commerce team to maximise online sales.
• As a Keyholder, be the go-to person when there isn’t a manager on duty and keep the store running.
