Responsibilities

• Promote donations and sales to maximise profits and develop in-store systems.
• Represent Mencap as a charitable organisation and uphold its aims and values.
• Ensure stock generation from local donors and maximise Gift Aid income.
• Meet profit targets and manage costs effectively to protect margins.
• Maintain store presentation to a high standard at all times.
• Build and train a volunteer team; conduct reviews and appraisals for staff and volunteers.
• Oversee all financial and cash handling and health and safety compliance.
