Job summary

Stirling Council is seeking a Charge-hand Cleaner for Strathblane Primary School in Blanefield. The role is part-time, term-time, permanent, with 18.5 hours per week and shifts after school hours.

The successful candidate will supervise cleaning staff, order products, manage keys, and uphold safety and hygiene standards. PVG clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning supervision and delivery of cleaning services.
• Able to supervise cleaning assistants and provide support.
• Basic IT knowledge and willingness to use online systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervisory cleaning service at Strathblane Primary School.
• Order cleaning products and manage stock for the site.
• Hold keys to enable cleaning provision and access control.
• Support cleaning staff and ensure equipment is maintained.
• Assist with lifting and operation of cleaning machinery.

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Stirling Council for a Charge-hand Cleaner at Strathblane Primary School, Blanefield.

The post will involve providing a supervisory and cleaning service on an 18.5 hours per week term-time basis between the hours of 3.15pm and 7.05pm Monday to Thursday and 3.15pm to 6.25pm Friday, paid at Stirling Council Grade 2.

You will be responsible for the providing a professional cleaning service, supervision and support of the cleaning assistants at the school, ordering of cleaning products and responsible for key-holding to allow cleaning provision.

Applicants should be capable of lifting heavy items, using cleaning machinery including electric buffing machines, scrubber dryers and vacuum cleaners.

Personal protective equipment, tools and training will be provided.

Applicants will also require a basic working knowledge of IT and be willing to undertake training to allow them to utilise Stirling Council online training and human resources IT applications.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who has been in the cleaning industry for a period of time and are looking for advancement in the profession.
