South Lanarkshire Council is recruiting a part-time Cleaner based at Low Parks Museum, Hamilton. The role covers cleaning across floors, furniture and fixtures, adhering to pre-set schedules.

You will report to the Cleaning Supervisor, operate cleaning equipment including buffing machines, and ensure COSHH-compliant standards are followed. The position also involves building security duties as a key-holder and waste disposal responsibilities.

Location: Low Parks Museum, 129 Muir Street, Hamilton, ML3 6BJ

Hours: 18 hours per week

Work Pattern: Tuesday - Friday 6am - 9am and Saturday 8am - 2pm

Salary: £12,951 annual salary

Community and Enterprise Resources provide catering and cleaning services in many locations and buildings across South Lanarkshire including schools, council offices and police stations.

Duties will include carrying out the cleaning function on floors, furniture, fixtures, fittings, sanitary areas, walls etc. You will be required to report to the Cleaning Supervisor.

To undertake practical tasks such as using a buffing machine to clean floors, furniture, fixtures, fittings, sanitary areas, walls etc in line with pre-determined schedule.

To ensure the security of the building is maintained, and act as a key-holder as required.

Monitor standards of cleaning in line with specification/COSHH regulations, reporting any difficult issues to management.

Remove refuse and deal with waste ensuring appropriate disposal.
