Position

An opportunity has arisen for a Charge Nurse at Three Towns Resource Centre.

What you will do:

You requires to be highly motivated for this position as the service involves working across many areas and delivering established pathways with Police Scotland and AUCS (Ayrshire Urgent Care Service). You will work as part of the wider Community Mental Health Services providing intensive input to individuals with acute mental health problems across the full spectrum of mental health from crisis work in Primary care to relapse management in people with severe and enduring illness.

You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of home treatment which meets the needs of the service users of Ayrshire & Arran. They will also be required to work within the new Unscheduled Care Mental Health Assessment Hub during day time and night time hours. They will provide leadership, management, support and supervision to a team of staff.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:

RMN is essential, Experience in acute mental health nursing in the community and previous experience of working in a crisis service/home treatment team is desirable. You must be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to work using their own initiative and as a lone worker working within a variety of settings within the community. They should be able to demonstrate a good understanding of current mental health policies and mental health legislation.
