Job summary

TeacherActive Limited is working with a fantastic Alternative Provision in the NG6 area of Nottingham, seeking a passionate Challenging Behaviour Teaching Assistant. The role is full-time on a temporary-to-permanent basis with an immediate start, supporting students with SEMH and challenging behaviour.

You will work 1:1 and in small groups, help manage behaviour, promote engagement and build positive relationships, collaborating with staff to create a safe, supportive learning environment where

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people within education, care or support settings.
• Experience supporting students with challenging behaviour, SEMH or additional needs.
• Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills.
• Able to build positive relationships with students who may struggle to engage with education.

Responsibilities

• Support students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
• Help manage challenging behaviour and promote positive learning.
• Work with teaching staff to create a safe, structured environment.
