TeacherActive is recruiting an enthusiastic Alternative Provision Teaching Assistant to support students in the Mansfield area (NG21). This full-time position is temporary to permanent with an immediate start.

You will work 1:1 and in small groups, help manage behaviour, encourage engagement and support social and emotional development throughout the school day. A patient, proactive approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people in education, care or support settings.
• Experience supporting young people with challenging behaviour, SEMH or additional needs.

TeacherActive is proud to be working with an fantastic Alternative provision in the Mansfield area, supporting with their recruitment for a passionate and experienced Teaching Assistant. This setting provides a supportive and nurturing environment for students who may struggle within mainstream education, focusing on building confidence, engagement and positive relationships to help young people achieve their potential.

The provision is looking to take on a full-time Alternative Provision Teaching Assistant on a temporary to permanent basis with an immediate start.

The successful Alternative Provision Teaching Assistant will be supporting students on both a 1:1 basis and within small groups, helping to manage behaviour, encourage engagement and support students with their social and emotional development throughout the school day.

The successful Alternative Provision Teaching Assistant will have:

Relevant experience working with children or young people within education, care or support settings

Experience supporting young people with challenging behaviour, SEMH or additional needs

A patient, resilient and proactive approach

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

A genuine passion for supporting young people to achieve their goals
