Job summary

Hager Group is seeking a Certification Engineer Enclosure Systems in the West Midlands/Telford area for a permanent role reporting to the Certification Manager within the Quality & Environment department. You will drive certification strategies, coordinate product compliance activities, and ensure regulatory conformity across product portfolios.

The role requires an engineering degree in electrical domains, experience in certification processes, and strong project coordination.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or Master’s in Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics or related field.
• Initial experience in product certification, compliance, testing, validation or quality engineering.
• Knowledge of electrical products, standards and conformity assessment processes.
• Ability to translate regulatory changes into product impacts and communicate them to teams.
• Strong project coordination and stakeholder management skills.
• Analytical mindset with a structured, solution-oriented approach.
• Fluent in English; German is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement certification strategies for new product developments and existing portfolios.
• Manage product certification projects from planning through approval and maintenance.
• Monitor changes in standards, regulations and certification requirements and assess impact on products.
• Coordinate testing activities with validation laboratories and support certification assessments.
• Conduct compliance and risk analyses to ensure product safety and regulatory conformity.
• Prepare certification dossiers, technical documentation and supporting evidence for approval bodies.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality and product management to ensure market access for products worldwide.

As a Certification Engineer Enclosure Systems you will report to the Certification Manager in the Quality & Environement department based in West Midlands/Telford for a Permanent contract.

What you will do

• Initial experience in product certification, product compliance, testing, validation or quality engineering.
• Knowledge of electrical products, standards and conformity assessment processes.
• Ability to understand technical requirements and translate regulatory changes into product impacts.
• Strong project coordination and stakeholder management skills.
• Analytical mindset with a structured and solution-oriented approach.
• Fluent in English. German is a plus
