Job summary

Hager Group’s Quality & Environment team in the West Midlands/Telford seeks a Certification Engineer Enclosure Systems to define and drive product certification strategies, manage certification projects, and ensure regulatory compliance across global markets.

You'll collaborate with R&D, production and QA, monitor standards changes, coordinate testing, and prepare dossiers for approval bodies while contributing to sustainable development goals.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics or related field.
• Initial experience in product certification, product compliance, testing, validation or quality engineering.
• Knowledge of electrical products, standards and conformity assessment processes.
• Ability to translate regulatory changes into product impacts.
• Strong project coordination and stakeholder management skills.
• Analytical mindset with a structured, solution-oriented approach.
• Fluent in English; German is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement certification strategies for new product developments and existing product portfolios.
• Manage product certification projects from planning through approval and maintenance.
• Monitor changes in standards, regulations and certification requirements, and assess their impact on products.
• Coordinate testing activities with validation laboratories and support certification assessments.
• Conduct compliance and risk analyses to ensure product safety and regulatory conformity.
• Prepare certification dossiers, technical documentation and supporting evidence for approval bodies.
• Work closely with engineering, quality and product management teams to ensure successful market access for products worldwide.

As a Certification Engineer Enclosure Systems you will report to the Certification Manager in the Quality & Environement department based in West Midlands/Telford for a Permanent contract.

What you will do

• Analytical mindset with a structured and solution-oriented approach.
