Job summary

ABM UK in Killingworth Shopping Centre is seeking a Security and Cleaning Co-ordinator to maintain a safe, clean, and well-managed environment. You will patrol, monitor premises, manage waste, and support daily operations on a 40-hour weekly rota from 0630 to 2215.

The role requires an SIA Door Supervisor Licence, strong customer-service skills, and the ability to work calmly under pressure. You will collaborate with Facilities and Centre Managers to uphold health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and communication skills required.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure in a busy shopping centre environment.
• Good teamwork and flexibility to cover shifts.
• Strong judgment, integrity and professional conduct.
• Ability to follow instructions and adhere to procedures.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts including early starts.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily cleaning within the centre following PPM.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for visitors.
• Liaise with colleagues to ensure smooth operations and security.
• Manage welfare facilities and waste properly.
• Monitor CCTV, Bodycams, and radio communications.
• Respond to emergencies and liaise with emergency services as needed.
• Ensure contractors have valid permits to work.
• Reception duties and visitor logging.
• Test and monitor fire alarm systems and alarms as required.
• Report incidents and unsafe conditions promptly.
