Job summary

St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Pathway Co-ordinator in the Cellular Pathology Department. The role involves working with consultant pathologists, laboratory and administrative staff, and Cancer Services across SWLP to ensure timely reporting and MDT case preparation.

The post requires good literacy, numeracy and IT skills (especially Excel), with team collaboration and the ability to manage workload.

Qualifications

• Good literacy and numeracy; IT skills including Microsoft Excel.
• Experience of medical terminology and data entry in a diagnostic pathology environment would be advantageous.
• Ability to work as part of a team and to manage own workload.

Responsibilities

• Work with consultant pathologists, laboratory and administrative staff, and Cancer Services departments to ensure cellular pathology reports are completed and authorised within targets.
• Prepare cases for multi-disciplinary team meetings.
• Contribute to data entry and terminology accuracy to support pathology operations.
