Job summary

The Christie NHS Foundation Trust in Manchester is seeking an MDT Co-Ordinator/Patient Pathway Tracker to manage cancer patient pathways from referral to treatment. You will coordinate MDT meetings, prepare and circulate patient lists, and ensure accurate input onto the local CWP system, with timely breach reporting.

You will work with clinicians, secretaries and nurses, maintaining records, and supporting national datasets while meeting the NHS waiting time standards.

Qualifications

• Experience working within the NHS, preferably in cancer data.
• Familiar with MDT processes and national waiting time standards.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate multi-disciplinary team meetings to ensure they run effectively and are well co-ordinated.
• Liaise with clinical and administrative staff to create lists for circulation prior to MDT meetings.
• Attend and facilitate each MDT, using video conferencing equipment as needed.
• Distribute outcomes to all concerned and ensure records are accurate and recorded on CWP.
• Report the current position of the patient on their cancer pathway to clinicians during meetings.
• Support the collection of evidence, documentation and data for national programmes.
• Ensure MDT activities are recorded; track attendance and highlight shortfalls to managers.
• Keep MDT schedules up to date and arrange cover during sickness or annual leave.
