Job summary

Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust seeks a proactive administrator for the Cellular Pathology department in Basingstoke. Previous pathology or NHS experience is advantageous but not essential; strong organisation and communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• Literacy and Numeracy to at least GCSE level evidenced.
• Experience of dealing with sensitive information.
• Ability to work individually or as part of a team and to follow complex procedures.
• Experience using computer systems or hospital IT systems is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient samples for referred tests within diagnostic pathways.
• Collate patient reports and slides for MDT discussions.
• Manage the department's tissue block and slide archives.
• Support efficient administration within the Cellular Pathology laboratory.
