The role involves embedding and microtomy with ISO 15189 quality controls, and providing diagnostic support across histology and cytology workflows at Conquest Hospital and satellite site.

Qualifications

• BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Sciences (IBMS accredited or HCPC approved).
• HCPC registration or active registration portfolio.
• MSc Biomedical Sciences or Cellular Pathology preferred.
• IBMS registration portfolio and ongoing CPD are expected.

Responsibilities

• Embed and microtomy duties with quality control per ISO 15189 standards.
• Rotate through departmental roles, delivering scientific services to support diagnosis.
• Assist in workflow management, documentation, and department performance.
• Contribute to training and development of junior scientific staff.
• Engage in CPD activities and attendance at approved courses.
