Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in Cheltenham is seeking a HCPC registered Specialist Biomedical Scientist (Band 5) to cover maternity leave. You will work in Cellular Pathology, supporting cancer patient services, with duties across histology and molecular pathology, and flexible shifts from 8am to 7pm, including Saturdays.

Qualifications

• BSc(Hons) Biomedical Science or equivalent required.
• HCPC Registration with Biomedical Scientist status mandatory.
• Experience with cellular pathology or histology is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• HCPC Registration as Biomedical Scientist and perform duties in Cellular Pathology.
• Work in all areas of Histology Laboratory; contribute to tissue processing, sectioning and staining.
• Rotate through Immunocytochemistry and Molecular Pathology as needed.
• Assist in meeting cancer targets and work effectively within a team.
