Job summary

Adam Smith International in London seeks an exceptional Team Leader for CEAS to provide strategic oversight and strong operational delivery. You will mobilise and manage deployments, ensure readiness, and oversee compliance, safeguarding and value-for-money standards.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams and represent ASI to FCDO, driving performance against KPIs while maintaining risk controls and a coherent governance structure for Lot 2 delivery.

Qualifications

• At least 15 years’ relevant experience in conflict, security and stabilisation.
• Experience with FCDO or wider HMG programming.
• Experience leading deployments or surge teams in fragile contexts.
• Experience delivering major programmes with financial and performance accountability.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as ASI’s senior representative to FCDO and manage reporting and advisory support.
• Provide technical leadership across the CEAS portfolio aligned with policy needs.
• Coordinate with FCDO partnerships to ensure complementarity and avoid duplication.
• Build and maintain relationships with conflict, security and stabilisation stakeholders.
• Oversee end-to-end deployment delivery: commissioning, tasking, mobilisation and reporting.
• Maintain readiness to surge and ensure deployables meet clearance and duty-of-care.
• Oversee recruitment, roster management and deployment of experts.
• Provide overall management and accountability for Lot 2 delivery and budget.
• Lead a multidisciplinary delivery team supporting deployment management.
• Maintain a coherent governance structure for CEAS outputs.
• Ensure risk management and compliance with guidance; lead MEL efforts.
