Job summary

Urenco is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join the Capenhurst site. You will be a member of a design team delivering FEED to multiple customers, leading electrical design for centrifuge drive systems and power distribution from site HV to plant LV.

You will define CPT design standards, oversee third‑party design development, ensure safety and best practice, and support detailed design and manufacturing quality. Some international travel is required to Urenco sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Proven problem solving and specialist knowledge in electrical design.
• Experience delivering conceptual and basic designs for complex facilities.
• Strong track record in managing design delivery and guiding third-party teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design engineering for centrifuge drive systems and power distribution from HV to LV, with optioneering and BAT studies.
• Deliver conceptual designs and design specifications focused on electrical engineering expertise.
• Maintain CPT design standards and safety practices within the Design Engineering Excellence Centre.
• Provide oversight of detailed designs and supplier manufacturing quality.
• Establish and maintain Group Reference Design and safety case standards.
• Lead post-implementation reviews to ensure safety licences, standards and asset management compliance.
