Job summary

AECOM invites applications for the CDM Principal Designer role within our Environment & Energy SH&E team. This national role can be based at multiple offices, including Manchester, Basingstoke, Glasgow, Cambridge or Bristol.

You will collaborate with our GGP CDM Lead to share knowledge, guide projects, and promote best practices for health, safety and wellbeing throughout the design-to-construction process on major energy infrastructure projects in the UK.

Qualifications

• Design/engineering degree required.
• Experience in overhead lines and HV projects is preferred.
• Member of the Association of Project Safety (APS) is desirable.
• NEBOSH National or General Certificate (or equivalent) is required.
• Experience delivering the Principal Designer role under CDM on energy projects.

Responsibilities

• Be a Safety Champion advocating health, safety and environment.
• Lead proactive engagement across pre-construction and risk mitigation.
• Deliver excellence and value in all tasks and deliverables.
• Provide CDM counsel to energy projects and clients.
• Work as One Team to achieve shared goals.
• Implement SH&E management systems and promote safety culture.
