AECOM is seeking a CDM Principal Designer to join our Environment & Energy SH&E Team. This national role can be based at Manchester, Basingstoke, Glasgow, Cambridge or Bristol, collaborating with our GGP CDM Lead and project teams to deliver Principal Designer services on major energy infrastructure projects in the UK.

You will champion health, safety and the environment, lead pre-construction risk mitigation, and support compliance with CDM duties, while working in a hybrid environment with

Qualifications

• Experience in Overhead lines and HV projects.
• Member of the Association of Project Safety.
• NEBOSH National or General Certificate, or similar health and safety qualification.
• Experience in delivering the Principal Designer role, ensuring effective and efficient delivery of duties under CDM on energy projects.

Responsabilités

• Be a Safety Champion, promoting health, safety, and the environment across projects.
• Lead proactive engagement in the pre-construction phase and manage design transition.
• Deliver excellence and continuous improvement in methods, processes, and results.
• Provide CDM counsel to energy projects to ensure statutory duties are met.
• Collaborate with colleagues to form a cohesive One Team, supporting project success.
• Advocate adherence to SH&E procedures and promote a culture of safety.
