Job summary

Arup is seeking an experienced CDM Principal Designer to join our UK Mid-West Energy and Water Resources Group, with offices in Bristol, Cardiff, Birmingham or Nottingham. You will lead design safety across complex infra projects, provide proportionate CDM advice and mentor junior staff within a multi-disciplinary team.

Qualifications

CDM Principal Designer accreditation or equivalent experience.
Experience on large-scale energy and water infrastructure projects.
Ability to lead design risk workshops and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
Strong knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015 and site safety audits.
Proven collaboration with clients, designers and contractors.

Responsibilities

Lead design risk and safety management across pre-construction and construction phases.
Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams to embed design safety in projects.
Act as the named CDM PD representative on schemes and maintain CDM compliance evidence.
Prepare PCI packs and manage information required for pre-construction.
Mentor junior CDM PD staff and provide expert CDM advice to clients.
