Job summary

GDS Partners, a Berkshire-based construction consultancy, is seeking an experienced Senior Principal Designer (CDM) to lead CDM design work across a portfolio of projects. The role emphasizes compliance with CDM 2015, health & safety leadership, and design risk management, with a strong client-facing focus.

You will work in a hybrid setup, overseeing pre-construction activities, RAMS review, and CDM documentation, while supporting the wider CDM team and maintaining relationships across the South

Qualifications

• CDM Principal Designer experience
• Strong knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015 and Building Safety Act
• NEBOSH qualification preferred
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills

Responsibilities

• Act as CDM Principal Designer across a portfolio of projects.
• Plan, manage, and coordinate health and safety during pre-construction.
• Provide CDM and health & safety advice to clients and designers.
• Prepare Pre-Construction Information, RAMS and Health & Safety Files.
• Lead design risk reviews and site inspections.
• Liaise with stakeholders and coordinate design review meetings.
• Manage project documentation and reporting.
