Job summary

ABM UK is seeking a Security Officer to provide professional security coverage for the site. The role includes access control, CCTV monitoring, site patrols, incident reporting and emergency response.

The successful candidate will carry out duties in a rota that includes days and nights, with a flexible approach to weekends and public holidays. A valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence and prior security experience are required.

Qualifications

• Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence.
• Previous experience in a security role.
• Experience monitoring CCTV systems.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Strong observation and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic IT and report-writing skills.
• Flexible approach to working days, nights, weekends, and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible security presence throughout the site.
• Conduct regular internal and external patrols.
• Monitor and control access and egress points.
• Verify identification and credentials of visitors, contractors, and staff.
• Respond promptly to security incidents, alarms and emergencies.
• Monitor CCTV systems in accordance with procedures and data protection regulations.
• Identify and report suspicious activity or security breaches.
• Maintain accurate records of CCTV incidents and observations.
• Complete daily occurrence books, incident reports and shift handover notes.
• Record movements of visitors, contractors and vehicles accurately.
• Assist with emergency evacuations and fire alarm activations.
• Follow all site-specific security procedures and company policies.
