Job summary

Bradford Corporation seeks a CCTV Security & Control Room Manager to lead the council’s surveillance operations, including over 1000 cameras, and to liaise with West Yorkshire Police to enhance community safety while ensuring compliance with UK GDPR and data protection laws.

You will manage budgets, contracts, and new income streams, maintain high standards of evidential integrity, and drive improvements through digital transformation and supplier partnerships.

Qualifications

SIA licence required for Public Space Surveillance.
NPPV2 vetting required for access to sensitive security areas.
Proficiency in IT systems, IP CCTV technology and alarm monitoring software.
Experience in control room or surveillance environments preferred.
Demonstrated management of teams and contracts.
ILM Level 5 or degree level education is expected.

Responsibilities

Lead the CCTV and security team and coordinate with police and emergency services.
Develop and implement performance frameworks to improve efficiency and standards.
Oversee procurement, budgets, and contractor/supplier management.
Ensure GDPR, DPA, HRA and data controls are strictly followed and incident response is effective.
