The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust is seeking a Storekeeper to manage ordering, receipt, issue and safe custody of stores at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital in Shrewsbury. This permanent, full-time role is 37.5 hours per week with a Monday–Friday 07:00–15:00 shift and a salary of £25,272 per annum.

You will maintain accurate records, support HACCP documentation, receive deliveries, issue stock to the kitchen and wards, monitor temperatures, rotate goods using FIFO and ensure compliance

Qualifications

• Level 2 Food Safety Qualification
• Level 3 Food Safety Qualification
• Understanding of COSHH
• COSHH Qualification
• Food Safety Level 2
• Food Safety Level 3

Responsabilités

• Place orders to predetermined stock levels and liaise with suppliers on sourcing and pricing.
• Receive deliveries and check in accordance with procedures.
• Issue stock to Main Kitchen and wards/departments with documented requisitions.
• Maintain hygiene and health & safety practices per SOPs and legislation.
• Assist Catering Management with stock takes as required.
• Monitor and record temperatures for HACCP Food Safety Management System.
• Follow rejection procedures for non-conforming goods.
• Rotate goods using FIFO according to Use by/Best before dates.
• Work according to duty rosters and Trust policies including COSHH and Fire Safety.
• Attend Food Safety training including induction and Level 2/3 Food Safety and annual refresher.
