Job summary

Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Catering Stores Assistant at Rampton Hospital to support the Catering Department. You will maintain stock levels, place orders for food and provisions, and ensure items meet health and safety standards.

Previous experience in catering is desirable, full training will be provided, and DBS checks are required (cost payable by the applicant). Hours are 10am to 6pm, including weekends and bank holidays.

To support the Catering Department which provides high quality, safe and nutritious food for patients, staff and visitors. Specifically undertaking Catering Responsibilities as detailed in the Job Description following task schedules, method statements and procedures.

The Catering Stores Assistant is required to maintain stock levels and order food/provisions as necessary, ensuring all stock received is to the required Health and Safety standards.

Liaising with Suppliers as necessary.

Please note that this post does not meet the pay level required for a Skilled worker visa.

Successful applicants with no prior NHS experience would normally be placed at the bottom of the band in line with Agenda for Change. This salary is below the minimum salary required for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa. In these circumstances the Trust would not, therefore, be able to sponsor for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa.

An opportunity has arisen for a motivated individual to join the busy Catering Team at Rampton Hospital to work within the Catering Stores.

The hours will be working 10am to 6pm, including Weekends and Bank Holidays.

Previous experience or working within a catering environment is desirable but not essential as full training will be given.
