The Role
Are you an experienced Catering specialist looking to move into Further Education, or an established Catering Lecturer looking for your next opportunity?
Aspire People are working in partnership with Further Education providers across Newport to recruit experienced Catering specialists and lecturers.
You don't necessarily need to have worked as a Lecturer previously. If you have strong industry experience, relevant qualifications and the ability to support and inspire learners, we'd love to hear from you.
? The Role
You may be responsible for:
Delivering engaging practical and theory-based Catering sessions
Demonstrating professional culinary techniques and standards
Supporting learners working towards vocational qualifications
Teaching food preparation, cooking and kitchen practices
Promoting high standards of food safety and hygiene
Assessing practical work and monitoring learner progress
Preparing learners for employment, apprenticeships or further study
Supporting learners with SEN/ALN
Contributing to curriculum development and quality improvement
What We're Looking For
Level 3 qualification in Catering, Hospitality or a relevant discipline
Strong professional experience within Catering/Hospitality
Good knowledge of food safety, hygiene and professional kitchen standards
Strong practical skills and up-to-date industry knowledge
Ability to demonstrate techniques and engage learners
Experience supporting learners, apprentices or trainees is desirable
Strong communication and organisational skills
Teaching or training experience is desirable but not essential
Experience working with learners with SEN/ALN is beneficial
