As the Catering Proposition Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for the design, specification, sourcing, oversight, management, delivery, review, and adjustment of our onboard catering service. This includes managing equipment, food and beverage, consumables, standards, and quality management to ensure a consistent and exceptional customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and Inspire the Catering Team: Provide dynamic leadership to the Catering team, overseeing operations, contractual governance, and the development of food and beverage standards to ensure top-notch service.
- Cultivate Supplier Partnerships: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring they meet our high standards and contractual obligations, while driving performance through effective SLAs and KPIs.
- Governance and Excellence: Develop and manage a robust governance framework to deliver exceptional products and services, ensuring we meet our standards and stay within budget.
- Champion Continuous Improvement: Drive innovation and improvement in our catering services, focusing on enhancing budgetary control, security, and safety to deliver the best customer experience.
- Strategic Contingency Planning: Plan and implement effective contingency and continuity strategies to ensure seamless catering operations under all circumstances.
- Foster Industry Collaboration: Build and nurture relationships with peers from other Train Operating Companies (TOCs) to share best practices and achieve cost efficiencies.
What You’ll Bring
- Leadership Excellence: Inspire and lead a dynamic team to achieve operational excellence and outstanding customer service. Your leadership will drive motivation and top performance.
- Strategic Vision: Make decisive decisions and negotiate effectively to foster positive relationships and drive continuous improvement and innovation.
- Operational Mastery: Manage large teams and coordinate with multiple stakeholders to ensure efficient budget management and supplier logistics, guaranteeing seamless catering operations.
- Technical Proficiency: Utilise your expertise in IT software, retail control, food delivery operations, LEAN and Just In Time processes, and statutory legislation to support smooth operations.
- Resilience and Independence: Be strong, self-reliant, and resilient, overcoming challenges and driving success independently for the benefit of the business and the team.
You will need to be located along, or within a 60 minute commute of the West Coast Main Line. Your main location of work when not travelling across the network will be London Euston Station.
