Job summary

Baxterstorey is hiring a General Assistant for one of its prestigious sites in Sutton. You will assist with breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner, ensuring smooth front-of-house service and strict food safety practices.

The role emphasizes flexibility, strong customer service, and teamwork, with full training and clear progression paths in a world-leading catering company. Start date aimed for end of November / early December.

Qualifications

• Ideally have experience working in hospitality / food service.
• Good Health & Safety knowledge.
• Flexible with a can-do attitude, customer focused.
• Fun and enthusiastic.
• Excellent organization skills as will be working alone predominately.
• Demonstrate great attention to detail.
• Be a team player and enjoy succeeding as a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and serving of breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner according to established menus and recipes.
• Maintain cleanliness of the front of house areas including organising dishes and utensils.
• Follow proper food handling and storage procedures to ensure food safety and prevent contamination.
• Monitor inventory levels of food and supplies and notify management of any shortages or discrepancies.
• Provide friendly and efficient service to staff and guests during shift, addressing any concerns or special dietary needs.
• Participate in training sessions and meetings related to food service procedures, safety protocols, and customer service standards.
