Job Description

The purpose of the role is to analyze financial data to bring about improvements in processes, systems, and financial control. This role will work with the Head of Departments (HODs) and the Finance Manager to understand and control costs and to maximize financial efficiency.

  1. Analyze financial data, trends, and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  2. Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts specific to our operations, and monitor ongoing performance against these budgets.
  3. Gather data to provide variance analysis and insights on budget vs. actual performance, providing regular reports for management and specific projects.
  4. Perform scenario analysis to evaluate the impact of different business decisions.
  5. Provide financial analysis to track the performance of Fixed Income businesses (clusters) to support business decisions, highlight shortfalls, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  6. Perform and track cost/benefit analyses for Capital Acquisitions and other projects.
  7. Create dynamic reports and dashboards to highlight trends and potential red flags for both operating and capitalized spends.
  8. Recommend ways to improve cost efficiency, identify financial risks, and suggest mitigation strategies.
  9. Monitor market trends and external factors impacting the organization’s financial performance.
  10. Provide administrative support to the Finance Managers and team, including handling ad-hoc reporting requests.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within the Catering industry.
  • Moderate Excel skills (Lookups, Pivot tables, Power Query, Macros).
  • Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Good organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with Power BI and management accounts is desirable.
