Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support food preparation, maintain cleanliness across the kitchen and catering stations, assist with deliveries and stock, and serve items to customers from the prepared menu.

Working pattern is 10:30–14:30, five days over seven, on-site in the UK. The role requires basic knife and food-prep skills, time management, ability to work under pressure, and good organisation. A Right to Work in the UK and enhanced DBS check may be required.

Qualifications

• Must have basic knife skills and food preparation abilities.
• Good time-management and organisational abilities.
• Willingness to complete a catering certificate if not already held (provided by employer).

Responsibilities

• Help with food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, trimming, and making sandwiches and salads.
• Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area and equipment, including utensils and catering stations.
• Assist with receiving and unpacking deliveries and keep food and supply storage organised.
• Serve food items to customers according to the prepared menu by the chefs.
• Top up the vending services daily.
