Job summary

Anchor Hanover Group at Skelton Court is seeking a Catering Assistant to help prepare and serve nutritious meals for residents, while upholding safety and hygiene standards. You will support the catering team and ensure meals are well-presented and waste is minimized.

We value attention to detail, teamwork, reliability, and a caring approach to older residents. Applicants should have Level 2 Food Safety, COSHH knowledge, and prior catering experience.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Food Safety Certificate required or willingness to obtain one.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety and COSHH procedures.
• Previous experience in a catering or kitchen environment.
• Experience working with older people is ideal but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation and service of nutritious, well-presented meals.
• Ensuring all health, safety, and hygiene standards are followed to the highest level.
• Helping minimise waste and using kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Supporting the catering team and communicating any issues promptly.
