Job summary

Anchor Hanover Group is seeking a Catering Assistant to help prepare and serve nutritious meals for residents in a friendly, supportive team. You will play a key part in maintaining high cleanliness and safety standards while working efficiently in a busy kitchen.

Ideal applicants will have Level 2 Food Safety or be willing to obtain it, with knowledge of Health & Safety and COSHH. Prior catering experience and a genuine care for residents are valued traits.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Food Safety Certificate is required or willingness to obtain one.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety and COSHH procedures a plus.
• Previous experience in a catering or kitchen environment is desirable.
• Experience working with older people is ideal but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation and service of nutritious, well-presented meals.
• Ensure health, safety and hygiene standards are followed.
• Help minimise waste and use kitchen equipment safely.
• Support the catering team and communicate issues promptly.
