Job summary

BaxterStorey is seeking a General Assistant to join our staff restaurant team at British Airways Pioneer House Didsbury. You will assist with breakfast and lunch service, maintain clean front-of-house areas and support colleagues during busy periods.

The role focuses on delivering friendly staff catering with attention to detail, working Monday to Friday, 7.00 to 15.00, 37.5 hours per week. Training and development opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Experience in a small kitchen is preferred.
• Good Health & Safety knowledge.
• Flexible, customer-focused and enthusiastic.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Team player with strong communication.
• Willingness to learn and develop.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and serving of breakfast and lunch according to established menus and recipes.
• Maintain front-of-house cleanliness and organise dishes and utensils.
• Collaborate with the team during meal preparation, weekly stocktaking and pot-washing.
• Follow proper food handling and storage procedures to ensure food safety and prevent contamination.
• Monitor inventory levels of food and supplies and report shortages or discrepancies.
• Provide friendly and efficient service to staff during mealtimes.
• Handle money and cashing up at the end of the shift.
• Participate in training sessions and meetings related to food service procedures, safety protocols, and customer service standards.
• Support the team with other business requirements and tasks.
