Job summary

Aberdeenshire Council seeks a kitchen assistant to prepare, cook and serve meals in schools and community facilities. The role operates term-time from 12.00pm to 2.00pm, Monday to Friday, with possible weekend work and flexibility as required.

The post requires PVG scheme checks and references. A Living Wage supplement is applied to eligible staff, and accommodation of reasonable adjustments is available upon request.

Qualifications

• PVG Scheme membership or update check required.
• Overseas Criminal Record Check if spent 3+ months out of the UK in the last 5 years.
• One reference from current or most recent employer required.

Aberdeenshire Council currently applies a Living Wage Supplement to all Council employees earning less than £13.45 per hour.

Working Pattern : 12.00pm till 2.00pm Monday to Friday term time.

Requirements

This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required.
