Job summary

Mitie Group plc. in Doncaster is seeking a Catering Assistant to deliver excellent service, maintain dining areas and equipment, and support cleanliness to meet SLA standards and health and safety rules.

This permanent, full-time role covers 25 hours per week with Sunday 9:30–2:30 and Monday to Thursday 14:00–19:00 shifts. Training is provided for Basic Food Hygiene and Health & Safety.

Qualifications

• Previous catering experience in a similar environment (desirable).
• Basic Food Hygiene and Health & Safety certificates (training provided if not held).
• Adequate numeracy, literacy, and communication skills.

• Prepare and maintain dining and service areas, including furniture, trolleys, and cleaning equipment.
• Serve food in correct portions and wash dishes, cutlery, and catering equipment.
• Clean all catering areas daily and follow health and safety standards.
• Handle cash collection, banking, and maintain records and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with customers, managers, and colleagues to deliver excellent service.

We're looking for a Catering Assistant who will deliver excellent service standards, while meeting SLA agreements and adhering to cleaning schedules.

Contract: Permanent
Type: Full time
Hours: 25 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Sunday (9.30am to 2.30pm) / Monday -Thursday (2:00pm to 7:00pm)
Pay: £12.74 per hour
Location: B&Q, Distribution Centre, Rockingham Way, Redhouse Interchange, Doncaster, South Yorkshire, England DN6 7FB
