Job summary

Hatfield House Doncaster is seeking a part-time Catering Assistant to help with preparation and service of nutritious meals for residents. The role requires ensuring health, safety and hygiene standards are met, and supporting a friendly catering team in a care environment.

The ideal candidate will hold a Level 2 Food Safety Certificate (or be willing to obtain one) and have experience in catering or kitchen settings, with a flexible attitude to work over 7 days including weekends.

Qualifications

• Health & safety and COSHH knowledge required.
• Experience in a catering or kitchen environment desirable.
• Experience working with older people is preferred.
• Level 2 Food Safety Certificate or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation and service of nutritious, well-presented meals.
• Ensuring all health, safety, and hygiene standards are followed to the highest level.
• Helping minimise waste and using kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Supporting the catering team and communicating any issues promptly.
