Job summary

A catering services company in Oxford is seeking a dedicated Catering Assistant. Qualifications

Salary: £24,421.08 per annum

Location: John Radcliffe Hospital, Headley Way, Headington, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, OX3 9DU

We are recruiting for a Catering Assistant, to provide support to our catering team, at a corporate site. We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic individual to join our dedicated catering team, to oversee all kitchen logistics, cleaning and maintenance.

Responsibilities
  • Assisting with the smooth running of the kitchen production areas.
  • Ensuring that all deliveries are put away, and stock correctly rotated.
  • Maintaining the kitchen work areas in accordance with HACCAP regulations.
  • Washing dishes, cutlery, tumblers, jugs, crockery, serving utensils, serving dishes, containers, tables, and all other catering equipment.
  • Keeping the kitchen floor area free of hazards.
  • Sweeping and mopping the kitchen floor daily.
  • Ensuring food storage areas are kept clean and well organised.
  • Keeping walls, work surfaces and floors clean and sanitised.
  • Cleaning on a daily basis all catering areas and equipment to high standards.
  • Undergoing on and off the job training sessions as required by Autograph management.
  • Informing the Kitchen Porter Manager of any defects identified in light or heavy equipment or of premises not meeting Health and Safety and/or Food Safety Standards.
  • Performing all other related duties required to ensure the kitchen is in a clean and hygienic condition and that the food service is effective and efficient.
  • Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with colleagues and customers.
  • Undertaking any other duties that may be required for the effective operation of the catering establishment.
