Cygnet is hiring a catering assistant at Tabley House Nursing Home in Cheshire countryside. The role is part-time, 24 hours a week, working 8.30am–4pm with weekend and one weekday shift. You'll help deliver balanced meals and maintain high hygiene standards, supporting residents with warm, appetising food experiences.

Experience in catering is preferred, and you will join a dedicated team that values care, professionalism, and excellent communication. DBS check is required.

The rota includes weekend working plus 1 day during the week. Tabley House Nursing Home is located in the beautiful Cheshire countryside in acres of parklands. Key Responsibilities

• Assist the team in the providing balanced, appetisant meals
• Perform basic food preparation, cooking tasks & other kitchen duties
• Wash utensils, dishes & make sure they are stored appropriately
• Sort, store & distribute ingredients, check deliveries and assist with stock ordering
• Maintain personal hygiene and ensure the kitchen is clean & hygienic
• Handle, maintain & store kitchen equipment in accordance with Cygnet procedures
• Use chemicals in line with Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations, We carefully review applications, considering factors like visa status, location, and experience.
