Cygnet Victoria House in the UK is seeking a Bank Catering Assistant to support meal preparation and kitchen duties on flexible bank shifts at the facility. The role requires a food hygiene certificate and a proactive team player able to work with care-recipients in a mental health inpatient setting.

You will assist with cooking, cleaning, stock rotation, and adhering to COSHH and high hygiene standards. DBS check is required; benefits include pension and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering, preferably within a care setting.
• Holder of a food hygiene certificate with good personal hygiene standards.
• Enthusiastic, keen to learn and an active team member.

Responsabilités

• Assist in the preparation of balanced, appetising meals.
• Perform cooking tasks and other kitchen duties.
• Ensure the cleanliness of the kitchen, service areas and dining room.
• Wash utensils and dishes and store them appropriately.
• Rotate stock and put away deliveries.
• Maintain personal hygiene to comply with standards and regulations.
• Handle and store kitchen equipment per procedures.
• Use chemicals in line with COSHH regulations.

You’ll be working flexible bank shifts a weekat Cygnet Victoria House, creating an excellent experience for the people in our care.

Cygnet Victoria House is a 26 bed mental health inpatient service for men. The service, split across two wards, provides a safe and stabilising environment for men who are experiencing an acute episode of mental illness and require an emergency admission.

Your day-to-day...

• Assist in the preparation of balanced, appetising meals

• Able to work on your own initiative, as part of a team & under supervision

Successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
