Job summary

Cygnet is seeking a Catering Assistant to support Tabley House Nursing Home near Knutsford. You will work 24 hours per week from 8.30am to 4pm, helping deliver balanced, appetising meals and handling basic kitchen duties in a caring environment.

Qualifications

• Passionate about catering, preferably with experience within a care setting.
• Enthusiastic, keen to learn and an active team member.
• Polite & professional, with a positive attitude at all times.
• An excellent communicator who can liaise with people at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Assist the team in providing balanced, appetising meals.
• Perform basic food preparation, cooking tasks & other kitchen duties.
• Wash utensils, dishes and store them appropriately.
• Sort, store and distribute ingredients, check deliveries and assist with stock ordering.
• Maintain personal hygiene and ensure the kitchen is clean and hygienic.
• Handle, maintain and store kitchen equipment in line with procedures.
• Use chemicals in line with COSHH regulations.

We are looking for an outstanding Catering Assistant who’s passionate about food and wants to make a difference.

You’ll be working 24 hours a week, working from 8.30am to 4pm at Tabley House Nursing Home, creating an excellent experience for the people.

The rota includes weekend working plus 1 day during the week.

Tabley House Nursing Home is located in the beautiful Cheshire countryside in acres of parklands. The service is set within a stunning 18th century country house.

Your Day-to-Day...
