We are looking for a Catering Assistant to be based in one of our Community Resource Centres at Combe Lea, Midsomer Norton, on a part-time permanent basis helping to support the delivery of catering at the adjacent Greenacres Court. We promote and maintain a supportive living environment to meet the needs of vulnerable older adults including those with dementia.
The role is part time working 18 hours per week to help support the catering service. The working pattern will be on a set rota but will include working every other weekend with some bank holidays as well.
Bath and North East Somerset have three care homes which are Community Resource Centres located in Keynsham, Bath and Midsomer Norton. Each Community Resource Centre includes a residential care home for between 30 and 45 people, and these homes provide important services to older people in our community. We provide care and health services in a comfortable, safe environment for older vulnerable adults with a variety of disabilities, including dementia.
Experience of working in a catering environment and an awareness of health, safety and food hygiene is desirable however full training will be provided.
