Job summary

Bath & North East Somerset Council is seeking a Night Care Assistant to join our Community Resource Centre team in Bath. The role is 27.5 hours per week on a rota, with enhanced rates for weekends, nights and bank holidays. A welcome payment of 5% of the starting salary is payable after probation, subject to eligibility.

• Care experience is advantageous but essential commitment to quality person-centred care with full training provided.
• Ability to complete accurate, timely residents’ care records and reports.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends and on a rota.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting residents’ independence and dignity.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care activities such as washing, dressing and hygiene.
• Promote independence, dignity and resident choice in daily living.

We are looking for a Night Care Assistant to join our growing team. Based in one of our Community Resource Centres at Cleeve Court Twerton, Bath. Working towards being a dementia care home of excellence.

This role is 27.5 hours per week and operate on a rota basis, which includes some weekend and bank holiday working. Enhanced rates are paid for these shifts.

Cleeve Court offers a supportive atmosphere which is in Twerton, Bath delivering residential/ dementia care, and this is easily accessible via public transport or car.

As a Night Care Assistant, You Will

• Assist residents with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene and dressing.
• Promote resident’s independence, choice, dignity, and respect by delivering the best standards of person-centred care.
• Adhere to and complete accurate and timely records of the care and support provided to residents.
• Providing support to access third party and NHS services.
• Be a strong team player and work on own initiative when needed.
• Promote positive lifestyle choices, offering individuals the opportunity and motivation to achieve their best.

About You

Previous experience of working in care would be an advantage, but a commitment to deliver quality person-centred care is essential and full training will be provided. This opportunity is ideal for an individual aiming to develop their career and gain hands on experience in a thriving and friendly workplace.
