Berkeley Scott Recruitment is seeking experienced Catering Assistants and Kitchen Assistants for temporary school catering roles across Beckenham. You will support food preparation, service and basic kitchen duties during term-time with weekday hours and weekly pay.

Shifts are flexible to fit availability, offering varied experience across different school kitchens and ongoing temporary assignments with regular work. Prior kitchen experience and willingness to learn are valued.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Catering Assistant or Kitchen Assistant.
• Food Safety and Allergen qualifications, or willingness to complete training.
• Enhanced DBS check covering the child workforce, or willingness to obtain one.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced catering environment.
• Reliable, positive and professional attitude.
• Team player who can work independently.
• Passion for delivering excellent service in school catering.

Responsabilités

• Support the Chef, Catering Manager and wider kitchen team.
• Assist with the preparation and service of hot and cold meals.
• Serve food to pupils and staff with excellent customer service.
• Liaise with teachers and school staff to ensure smooth meal service.
• Operate tills and handle payments where required.
• Clean and clear kitchen and dining areas after service.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and kitchen safety.
• Follow food safety procedures and allergen guidelines at all times.
• Keep service areas clean, organised and well stocked.

What We''re Looking For

• Strong communication and organisational skills.

Pay rates are dependent on experience, the client and the role undertaken.
