Job summary

Berkeley Scott Recruitment in Sevenoaks is actively seeking experienced Catering Assistants and Kitchen Assistants for a variety of school catering roles across Sevenoaks. The roles are term-time with weekday school hours to support a healthy work-life balance and weekly pay.

Successful candidates will have catering experience, be reliable and able to work well in a busy school kitchen team. Food safety training and an Enhanced DBS check are preferred, with ongoing temporary assignments and

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Catering Assistant, Kitchen Assistant or Food Service Assistant.
• Food Safety and Food Allergen qualifications, or willingness to complete the required training.
• Enhanced DBS check covering the child workforce, including the relevant barred list check where required, or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the Chef, Catering Manager and wider kitchen team.
• Assisting with the preparation and service of hot and cold meals.
• Serving food to pupils and staff while maintaining excellent customer service.
• Liaising with teachers and school staff to ensure a smooth meal service.
• Operating tills and handling payments where required.
• Cleaning and clearing down kitchen and dining areas after service.
• Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and kitchen safety.
• Always following food safety procedures and allergen guidelines.
• Keeping food service areas clean, organised and well stocked.

What We''re Looking For
